Accelerate innovative, multidisciplinary TB research that spans a broad spectrum of disciplines.
UC TRAC provides research resources and infrastructure and infrastructure tailored to the needs of early-career and new-to-TB researchers at UCSF and UC Berkeley. These resources support new investigators navigate the unique difficulties of working on this formidable pathogen and that requires multidisciplinary collaborations. By doing so, UC TRAC aims to enhance the vibrancy of TB research in the Bay Area and throughout the campuses of the University of California, and globally.
The Administrative, Developmental, Clinical, and Basic Science Cores offer a range of services, resources, and funding opportunities to advance the program’s goals. These include consultation services, pilot awards for early-stage investigators (ESIs), voucher “accelerator awards” for new-to-TB researchers and ESIs, mentorship programs for ESIs, a global ESI fellowship program, a data catalogue, and access to a Community Advisory Board, which provides community-centered input from study design through to results dissemination.
