2025 program 2025 ABSTRACT BOOK
The Bay Area TB Science (BATS) Symposium was held in-person on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 9am-4:30pm, on the UCSF Mission Bay campus, focusing on local researchers sharing their work and allow for networking opportunities along with talks, posters, catered lunch, and a panel discussion. Dr. Mark Davis, Keynote Speaker
We were honored to have Dr. Mark Davis serve as this year’s Keynote Speaker. Dr. Davis is the Director of the Stanford Center for Human Systems Immunology, and a Professor of Microbiology and Immunology. Dr. Davis is renowned for identifying T-cell receptor genes that enable immune recognition. His lab has pioneered studies of T-cell biology and developed transformative tools for human immunology, including peptide-MHC tetramers, spheromers, GLIPH analysis, and human immune organoids.
BATS Rising Star Awardees
This award acknowledges a postdoctoral fellow or assistant professor who has distinguished themselves in TB research. This year's recipient is Dr. Andrew Kerkhoff from UCSF.
